Raymond Starzmann

Raymond Starzmann is a Kansas City historian, reenactor and performer on the world stage. He reenacted many characters but his special love was for President Harry S. Truman, Kansas City's own contribution to American history. He is an art aficionado who worked at the Nelson-Atkins Bookstore for more than twenty years.

He is also a very close and beloved friend.

He is one of the reasons Skyboy Photos exists. He saw my nature and sky photography one day in 1993 and suggested I make greeting cards with my photos. Then he placed Skyboy's first order with the Nelson-Atkins Museum Bookstore.

He passed away in February 2019 at the age of 73. His legacy of work in politics, world events and Presidential history spans nearly that same length of time, and is honored in a film that I produced called "I'm Just Wild About Harry!"
